Four-step guide how to use chopsticks?
- Hold two chopsticks like two pencils, about two-thirds of the way up from the tapered eating end, with the fingers and thumb of one hand.
- Using the upper (movable) chopstick, hold it just like you would a pen to write with (although most of it is sticking out), and rest the lower (stationary) chopstick on your ring finger.
- To pick up food, the upper chopstick should be held still while the lower chopstick is held with your thumb and middle finger.
- To divide a piece of food into two pieces, apply controlled pressure while moving the chopsticks apart from each other.
Be patient practice makes perfect.
