In this digital age we know the importance of viral marketing, digital natives and utilising influencers and we appreciate that our eco-friendly ideology and sustainable nature means that we are a highly desirable brand to work with. As a small startup business ourselves we know how tough it can be out there so here’s some vital reading for those interested in contacting us about reviewing or receiving our products.
"We want to build mutually beneficial, long-term relationships and create partnerships rather than just a quick exchange of free products."
Humble BeginningsFirst of all, we want to say that we completely empathise with those of you out there trying to monetise your social media feeds or promote your small business online. We are a small startup company ourselves and know how tough it can be out there. We have no outside investors and are also trying to, not only, sell our products in a global marketplace but also promote sustainability and environmentally friendly practices in a chattering and ever changing landscape so we appreciate the effort that goes into putting yourselves and your brand out there. As such, we’d love to help out everyone who asks for a free sample, or a product to review or promote, but it just simply isn’t viable for a small company.
What We’re Looking ForWe want to build mutually beneficial, long-term relationships and create partnerships rather than just a quick exchange of free products. Obviously, we understand the importance of promotion but we want to know, not only how you can help us, but how we can help you. Our brand is built on an ideology of ethical trading and manufacturing standards, and sustainable and eco-friendly products, so where does what you do fit into that?
How We ChooseIn order to choose who we operate with we need some key information from you so that we can identify who is best to work with and how we can best use our time and resources in supporting you. We need to know that if you have a new business idea, what is it about and how can we help with that? Who does your website or blog cater for and how are people going to perceive our product if viewed through the prism of your site? If you’re an Instagram page, we need to understand who your followers are and why they are following you. What are they getting out of the content you put out into the world and how do our products tie into that as a whole? We need to see your achievements and any official documents you can provide us so we know exactly who we are dealing with and what their output is. We are not trying to be difficult or demanding with these requests but want to know as much as possible about how we are going to be represented and about the brand and people doing so.
CharitiesWe will always try and help out charity requests as best as we can but, as with business requests, we need to know about your mission and how we can help that. Again, we can’t help everybody and run a profitable business solely because of the size of our operation but we will always endeavour to do what we can.
