Plastic Free Food Storage

Beeswax wraps alternative to plastic food storage

Made from materials you can feel good about: bee's wax, jojoba oil, tree resin, and organic cotton. Basically, a mixture of the first three ingredients is painted in a thin layer onto sheets of organic cotton and, presto! You have My little Panda Beeswax wraps.

Beeswax is famous for its antibacterial properties. it keeps bacteria away, also, bacteria don´t like to reproduce themselves on beeswax.

Since beeswax is the main ingredient in beeswax wraps, it works like a magical shield protecting your food from going bad.

The other main advantage? It's reusable. Once you're done with your wrap, just wash it with gentle soap and cool water (hot water can melt it), then let it air-dry to use it again.

Of course, once the wraps have been used for about a year, it won't work as well, but you can cut it into strips to compost it.

How to use Beeswax wraps

when you take a wrap and hold it in your hands for a few seconds, it softens a little, so you could easily wrap your veggies or a sandwich, or whatever you are wrapping.

It is super easy to use it as a bowl cover. Just put your wrap on a bowl and press it on the sides of the bowl.

There is no problem wrapping your food and then storing it in the fridge or even in the freezer. Just give it a few minutes when you take it out of the freezer before unwrapping.

Wrap up cheese, fruit, vegetables, and bread. Cover a bowl or pack a snack for your next adventure. Also makes an amazing zero waste kitchen gift idea!
