Why is the length only 19cm? 

Our reusable chopsticks are designed pocket-sized for eating on the go. The 19cm length makes them easy to handle and use daily, suitable for beginners and children learning to eat with chopsticks. The standard chopsticks are around 23cm long, usually class as man-size and 20cm for ladies.

Are the chopsticks organic?

Yes, the chopsticks is organically made from a single bamboo. There are no sealants or glues, and it will not contaminate food nor harm the environment once it has been disposed of.

Are they safe for children's use?

Yes, the chopsticks is as safe for children to use as any other cutlery. If your child knows how to eat with chopsticks, they will have no problem using bamboo chopsticks.

Can I use bamboo chopsticks with all types of food? 

Yes, you can use your bamboo chopsticks with most food, Hot or cold.

Do they feel or taste like wooden chopsticks?

The bamboo chopsticks are sanded down and varnished with vegetable oil. Therefore, it is smooth to the touch and splinter-free.

Bamboo has no wooden aftertaste and doesn't affect the taste of the food, unlike wooden cutlery that can leave a bad taste in your mouth when consuming food.

Are they compostable?

Yes, chopsticks and pouch are compostable.

How do I take care of bamboo chopsticks?

Bamboo chopsticks can be cleaned with hot, soapy water like metal cutlery.

The natural way to clean cutlery is with vinegar. Add three tablespoons to one cup of water and wipe it off with a cloth afterwards. If a food odour persists, rub it down with a piece of lemon.

Bamboo chopsticks is dishwasher safe.

Maintenance - Like other wood products in your kitchen, bamboo needs to be oiled periodically with olive oil or food-grade mineral oil. Food-grade mineral oil is available in most grocery stores. Just use a soft cloth to wipe your utensils with the oil. These days, most food contains oil, so this only needs to be done about every 2–3 months or when it feels dry.

To prolong your bamboo chopstick's life, avoid submerging it in water for an extended period. 

What is the pouch made of?

We use 60% hemp, and 40% recycled cotton. Hemp cotton is more durable than regular cotton. Plus, it only uses 1/20 of the water used to grow and process regular cotton.
Hemp is far more sustainable than cotton, but you get a softer and more flexible material that extends the pouch life by combining the two.
