How should hot matcha be prepared?

-Add hot water to a cup with two grams of match or three and a half grams of the match per person, depending on how strong you like it.

-Using the scoop (chashaku), break the match into powder. It will be even better if you put the match through a sieve and break it down with the scoop. It will produce more foam. (as shown in the product page video).

- Whisk. Stir the ingredients as quickly as possible with an M- or W-shaped motion. To create a soft peak of foam on top, slowly remove the whisk after an even layer of foam has been achieved.

How to Make Iced Matcha Latte?

-Add a few tablespoons of hot water to a few teaspoons of matcha powder in a cup.

-Add the remaining water and whisk some more after the matcha has dissolved. Cool for about 15 minutes in the refrigerator or freezer.

- Once the matcha has cooled, fill the glass with a ridiculous amount of ice. After adding the almond milk (or milk of your choice) to the glass, drizzle over a bit of simple syrup. Top it off with matcha. The result is unbridled happiness!

The accessories, which are made of natural bamboo, should be cleaned with the use of warm water. Chasen – bamboo whisk – should be rinsed with water after each use and left to air dry. If the whisk is severely stained, it can be put into a vessel filled with warm water, a few hours. Warm water will make the matcha’s leftovers dissolve. In the following steps, the chasen should be rinsed with warm water again and left to air dry.

The best way to ensure the long-term use of a chasen is to store it correctly. Below are some points to consider. Matcha whisks should never be stored with the strings down and directly touching the surface they are placed on. Always store the whisk with the strings facing up. Eventually, the strings will lose their shape. When properly cared for, a matcha whisk can last between one and two years, depending on the quality, craftsmanship, and frequency of use. When the strings start to break or lose their shape, it's time to purchase a new one.
