Why is My Little Panda sells olive cutlery?

Although My Little Panda predominantly deals with bamboo products, these limited edition sets are made from olive wood from the Puglia region of Italy where bacteria is killing the trees. The bacteria is harmless to humans but devastating to these trees, and this wood is made from those trees cut down to prevent its spread. As such, we will be re-investing money into the area to help olive growers restore their livelihoods and see a return of the magnificent olive groves. .

What is included?

The easy-grip cutlery set set includes an olive spoon and fork, A baby bib made from bamboo viscose and all are packed in a hemp pouch with inner layer to keep the cutlery clean.

What is the dimensions and weight?

The olive cutlery is 16cm in length, and the bag is 18cm. The baby bib has two press fasteners at 28cm and 34cm neck size./p>

How long will olive cutlery last?

The eco-friendly cutlery set is designed to be sturdy, so it doesn't break easily. It is made of olive wood, guaranteeing high strength and can last for years with little or no degradation.

Is the cutlery set organic?

Yes, the cutlery is made of olive wood. Additionally, My Little Panda olive cutlery is made from a single olive wood. There are no sealants or glues. It will not contaminate food nor harm the environment once it has been disposed of.

 

Can I purchase replacement cutlery?

Yes of course you can. In case you lose a piece of cutlery, we offer replacement pieces on our online store. You dont have to buy a full cutlery set. 

How do I take care of olive cutlery?

Olive cutlery can be cleaned with hot, soapy water like metal cutlery.

The natural way to clean cutlery is with vinegar. Add three tablespoons to one cup of water and wipe it off with a cloth afterwards. If a food odour persists, rub it down with a piece of lemon.

 

The cutlery set is dishwasher safe.

 

Care- Like other natural products in your kitchen, olive wood needs to be oiled periodically with olive oil or food-grade mineral oil. Food-grade mineral oil is available in most grocery stores. This only needs to be done about every 2–3 months or when it feels dry.

To prolong your olive cutlery's life, avoid submerging it in water for an extended period. 

What is the pouch made of?

We use 80% hemp, and 20% recycled cotton. Hemp cotton is more durable than regular cotton. Plus, it only uses 1/20 of the water used to grow and process regular cotton.
Hemp is far more sustainable than cotton, but you get a softer and more flexible material that extends the pouch life by combining the two.

Are they compostable?

Yes, cutlery, straw and pouch are compostable. The straw brush is recyclable.
