Wash & Care
Olive cutlery can be cleaned with hot, soapy water like metal cutlery.
The natural way to clean cutlery is with vinegar. Add three tablespoons to one cup of water and wipe it off with a cloth afterwards. If an odour persists, rub it down with a piece of lemon.
Olive cutlery is dishwasher safe.
Just like other wood products in your kitchen, olive cutlery needs to be oiled periodically with olive oil or food-grade mineral oil. Food grade mineral oils are available in most grocery stores. Just use a soft cloth and wipe your utensils once in a while. These days, most foods contain oil, so clean your utensils every 2–3 months or when they feel dry.
To prolong the life of your olive cutlery, avoid submerging it in water for an extended period.
We use 80% hemp, and 20% recycled cotton. Hemp cotton is more durable than regular cotton. Plus, it only uses 1/20 of the water used to grow and process regular cotton. Hemp is far more sustainable than cotton, but you get a softer and more flexible material that extends the pouch life by combining the two.
The Inner layer of the pouch is made of cotton.

Why origami packaging?
That is a good question. The simple answer is that we cut down on standard packaging (box) and plastic wrap by 80%, and we believe we still have something sustainable and beautiful to present our products.
The packaging acts as a wrapping, offering a double-sided label space for a message, which removes the need for gift wrap.
Add a product to the shopping basket and tap the cart icon (top right). Enter a message or request a specific delivery date in the text box. It's that simple!
We will hand-write the message on our sustainable kraft paper gift cards and post it directly to the address of your choice.
Production & Impact
My Little Panda Products are designed by British Students. Design the next product, Take part
Bamboo is considered a pest in the western world, and there are no farmers currently growing bamboo in the UK or Europe. A family-owned factory in Vietnam manufactures our bamboo products. When ready, they ship them in bulk to the UK via sea freight, which produces 80% less CO2 than flying.
The Olive Cutlery is manufactured in Italy, while the Tongue Scraper and blades are manufactured in India. The cutlery engraving, the pouches and string bags are made in the UK.
My little Panda products are assembled in the UK to make sure that all of our products adhere to British manufacturing and production standards, we offer employment opportunities to stay-at-home-parents, OAPs, and those who are less mobile, so that they can work to a timeframe that suits them. We deliver the products to assemble, directly to their door for ease. When the products are asseble we collect. For enquiries about working for us, contact us.
We promote our products through the My Little Panda website only. Our focus is on quality rather than quantity.
